July - Completed physical training in Torquay
Aug 4th - Sept 13th - Trained as a pilot in Derby
Sept 14th - Dec 14th - Trained in night flying in South Cerney

 


1941
Jan 25th - Apr 19th - Trained in general reconnaissance in Canada (Prince Edward Island)
June 17th - Aug 9th - Completed operational training in Silloth
Aug 10th - Joined 206 Squadron in Aldergrove
Sept 10th - Sept 19th - Detatchment 1: Stornoway
Dec 5th - Dec 11th - Detatchment 2: St Eval
Dec 11th - Dec 20th - Detatchment 3: Chivenor


1942
Feb 18th - Mar 1st - Detatchment 4: Stornoway
May 23rd - May 25th - Detatchment 5: Stornoway
June 24th - June 26th - Detatchment 6: Donna Nook (1,000 Bomber Raid over Bremen)
July 21st - Moved to Benbecula with the 206 Squadron
Sept 23rd - Married Margaret Eileen French (St Marys in Harlow)


1943
Aug 4th - Dec 7th - Posted to Group 15 HQ (206 was part of Group 15 - HQ was in Liverpool)
Sept 19th - Dec 4th - Detatchment 7: Cranage - Central Navigation School
Dec 8th - Feb 29th 1944 - Joined SHQ at Beaulieu


1944
Mar 1st - Dec 31st - Joined the School of General Reconnaissance at Squires Gate


1945
Mar 7th - May 19th - Joined the 111. Operation Training Unit in Nassau
May 8th - Germany surrenders - WAR WITH GERMANY ENDS
